In the last episode of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, Destiny reunited with her siblings and grandmother.

She also met her birth mother and asked her some tough questions.

It was revealed that Destiny’s birth mother abandoned her and her siblings due to her struggle with addiction.

In the last episode, she met her grandmother, who had spent most of her life searching for all her grandchildren.

Destiny shared her experience about reuniting with her long-lost family in an interview (via EURweb):

“I was very nervous to reach out, initially sending messages saying, ‘Hey, I think I’m your sister. I have a total of seven siblings, one deceased. I thought I would never meet these kids.”

She added:

“My grandmother used to post every single year their baby pictures and her telephone number saying, if anybody knew these babies, call me. For her to have that closure, and me being a part of giving that to her, with God’s help, it’s been very fulfilling.”

In the latest episode of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, Destiny met the Scotts and opened up about meeting her family.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville, season 11, episode 4: Destiny met the Scotts

In the latest episode, Destiny met Marsau, Maurice, Kimmi and LaTisha Scott for drinks.

She stated in her confessional:

“I’m happy to see the Scotts. I feel like my relationship with them has really developed, and we have a good friendship. It’s cool to have them here.”

For context, Destiny was visiting Detroit to meet her siblings and family.

She then shared her experience of meeting with her siblings after so many years.

“My brother called me this morning on FaceTime, and he was like, ‘I never thought this would be my life. I never thought I’d be able to walk through my grandma’s house or say that I’m in a house where people look like me..like, this is really my family.’”

Kimmi and LaTisha agreed and said that they are “proud” of her.

Destiny remarked in her confessional:

“From this trip back home to the D, I feel like I gained a sense of completeness. I feel more complete now. I had all my siblings in one room…minus one, the baby. I still have to meet Hayden. And my grandmother, she feels whole now too. She’s met all of her grandchildren. Having that moment with my mom…it’s not abnormal. Just seeing her and giving her the love she was able to receive in that moment was enough for me. Being with my family, and having some friends there to support us, was really cool too.”

Marsau and Maurice asked her about her mother and how that reunion went.

Destiny said:

“But after everything, I left without saying, ‘I love you no matter what.’ She has her own way of knowing it, but it is what it is. What I’ve learned about myself through her is that I used to mask my pain and guard myself, just like she does. And what I learned in therapy is that when you mask your pain, you can’t feel anything, including love.”

The Scotts lauded Destiny and called her “a warrior.”

Destiny concluded in the confessional:

“Detroit was definitely an emotional rollercoaster. Didn't really know what to expect. Heard a lot of new things about my mom. Met my siblings. Brought some closure to my family and to me. No, I'm really happy about this trip.”
